Mary Ann Brubaker, age 87, of Carson Valley, Duncansville, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born February 2, 1938 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Robert A. Jr. and Elizabeth A. (Rossman) Hilton. She married James L. Brubaker on April 10, 1957 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2023.
Surviving are four children: James A. Brubaker of Duncansville, Catherine A. Harker (Joseph) of Duncansville, William R. Brubaker (Bobbie) of Alum Bank, and Jeffrey A. Brubaker of Duncansville; 6 grandchildren: Bryan, Sarah, Heather, Matthew, Lincoln, and Jeremiah; 10 great-grandchildren: Deryk, Alex, Madelyn, Brodie, Kaelyn, Claudia, Della, Bennett, Jax, and Oakleigh; two sisters: Nancy Servello of Duncansville and Betsy Shinn in Virginia; and a special family friend, Heidi Rexford.
She was preceded in death by a son, John A. Brubaker; a sister, Vivian Helsel; and two brothers: Robert David Hilton and Jerry Kenawell.
Mary Ann was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from Garvey Manor, where she worked as an LPN.
She was a member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, watching wildlife at her home, and was an excellent pie maker.
Friends will be received on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9:30am until the 11am funeral service at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. Pastor Bradley Runkle will officiate. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
