Michael R. Culp, age 86, of Duncansville, passed away on February 13, 2022 at Garvey Manor Nursing Home in Hollidaysburg. He was born on December 24, 1935 in Altoona; son of the late Martin S. and Pauline (Laughlin) Culp. On July 1, 1961 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Newry, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen (Fox) Culp, who survives.
Michael was a Class of 1954 graduate of the Altoona Catholic High School, served his country as a member of the United States Army, and retired in 1997 as a Plant Supervisor at Small Tube Products in Duncansville. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Bavarian Aid Society. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing, and camping. Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Ann Culp; brother William Culp; and brother-in-law Ron Harris.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Culp; son, Michael R. Culp II (Brenda) of Williamsburg; daughter, Christine M. Post (Charles) of Ashville, PA; son, Robert T. Culp (Barbara) of Senoia, GA; daughter, Amy P. Wertz of Duncansville; grandchildren, Jeremy, Nichole, Lisa, Michael, Robby, Dylan, and Travis; great-grandchildren Landon, Dalton, Emma, Deegan, Samantha, Charlie, and Kennedy; brother, Martin Joseph Culp (Darlene); sister, Betsey Harris; sister, Nancy Culp; sister, Rosamond Brown (Roger); brother, David Culp (Kathy); sister-in-law, Pegg Culp; and good friend, Matt Zunich.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home in Duncansville. Catholic Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 beginning at 11:00AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Duncansville. Intombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
