Obituary

Patty A. Hollen, age 65, of Hollidaysburg, died Saturday, January 28, 2023 at UPMC Altoona. She was born October 19, 1957 in Altoona, daughter of the late Merle L. and Mildred L. (Reffner) Boone. She married Larry Hollen on April 15, 1978 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Frugality.

She is survived by her husband; two sons: Jeremy Hollen (Adeena) and Jason Hollen (Jessica); six grandchildren: Shawn, Kimberly, Josie, Johnny, Joey, and Julie; two step-grandsons: Bryce and Anson; a brother, William Boone; three sisters: Deborah, Connie, and Jacqueline; and several nieces and nephews.

Patty was a graduate of Glendale High School. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Rite-Aid, formerly Kopp Drug, in Hollidaysburg, for the past 35 years.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, Hollidaysburg. Patty loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

There will be no public services.

At Patty’s request, in lieu of flowers and/or food donations to the family, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38148-0142), Shriners Hospitals for Children (Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394), and/or a charity of your choice.
