Patty L (Deprez) Shaw

Patty L. Shaw, age 87, of Garden Heights, Altoona, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. She was born December 20, 1933 in Geeseytown, a daughter of the late Charles and Belva M. (Hewitt) Deprez.

Surviving are three children: Debra Hill of Pittsburgh, Patti O’Connell of Duncansville, and Michael Shaw of West Virginia; 8 grandchildren: Krystal Pelkofer, Stephanie Hill, Lauren Hill, Arron Salisbury, Macie O’Connell, Jennifer Blanchard, Matthew Shaw, and Nicolette Bean; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Mudd; three sisters: Thelma Haigh, Charlotte Brubaker, and June Deprez; and her ex-husband, Harry Max Shaw.

Patty retired from Tri-Tex Sportswear as a seamstress. She attended Puzzletown Road Bible Church. She enjoyed crocheting and making afghans for all of her family, baking, and playing games.

A public grave-side service will be held at noon on Fri., Sept. 17, 2021 at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville, Pastor Jon Gross, officiating.
