Paul Manion Obituary

Paul J. Manion, age 88, a resident at James E. VanZandt VA Medical Center, Altoona, formerly of Duncansville, died Sunday., March 1, 2020. He was born January 18, 1932 in Colver, a son of the late Joseph F. and Helen A. (Klotz) Manion.

Survived by his wife Caroline (Risoldi) Manion; two sons from Paul's first marriage to Rose (Shevnock): Thomas Manion and Joseph Manion; a granddaughter, Jamie; two great-grandsons: Dominik and Justin; a sister, Mary Bridge; and his wife Caroline's family.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Mildred Catalfamo and Ruth A. Young.

Paul was a 1951 graduate of Ebensburg High School. He retired as a building inspector for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Manion was a US Army veteran, serving as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict, where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services.

Private burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
