Obituary

Philip F. Miller, age 66, of Altoona, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at his home. He was born July 1, 1957 in Roaring Spring, a son of the late Rev. R. Eugene and Sara K. (Stapleton) Miller.

He is survived by two daughters: Danielle Mickel and DeAndra Miller (Michael) all of Altoona; 6 siblings: Alan Miller (Kathy) of Akron, M. Kathryn Frye (Terry) of Roaring Spring, Melissa Miller (Dean Peachey) of Ontario, Mark Parker-Miller (Beth) of Wilmington, Del., Rebecca Zeek (Richard) of Duncansville, and Amy Lowey (Thayne) of Duncansville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son Travis, a brother J. Wayne Miller, and his companion Barb Miller.

Phil was a 1975 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He previously worked at PepsiCo and several restaurants in the Altoona area.

He enjoyed camping, reading, and woodworking. He loved animals, especially his cats. Phil was a very humble person and always helped others.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
