Regina H. Seidel, age 83, of Duncansville, gained her angel wings on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. She was born April 21, 1939 in Altoona, daughter of the late Anthony J. and Carmela M. (Spallone) Figurelle. She married Jerome L. “Jerry” Seidel, Sr. on July 11, 1964 at St. Joseph’s Church, Williamsburg.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry; three children: Jerome Seidel, Jr. of Annapolis, MD, Wendy Seidel of Harrisburg, and Kimberly Seidel of Chester, MD; a granddaughter Alexis Seidel; a brother Anthony “Tony” Figurelle of Brookhaven; a sister Alfreda Hite of Hollidaysburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Josephine Twardowski, Gloria Twardowski, and Angela Ellis; and six brothers: Edward, Father Elwood, Eugene, Alfred, Theodore, and Richard Figurelle.
Regina was a 1958 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She previously worked at GTE Sylvania. She was a lifetime member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, a lifetime member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas – Altoona for past 51 years, and was an active member of the Allegheny Club.
She was a great Italian cook. She enjoyed her rock gardens and flowers, crafting and sewing, and spending time with her granddaughter. Regina was the biggest cheerleader for her family and had a love for all.
Friends will be received from 4-8pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, December 16 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville. Monsignor Robert Saly will officiate. Committal will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
