Robert Palombi Obituary

Robert A. Palombi, age 72, a resident of the James E. VanZandt VA Medical Center, Altoona, died Monday, September 18, 2023 following an extended illness. He was born October 16, 1950 in Altoona, son of the late Angelo R. and Elaine M. (Baker) Palombi.

He is survived by a daughter, Loretta Allison of Portsmouth, NH; two sisters: Sandra Harvey (Sonny) of Rochester, PA and Darlene Harella (Ronald) of Hollidaysburg; two nephews: Richard Harvey (Alena) and Lucas Harella (Kylee); a niece, Lorie Nail (Bill); a great-nephew, Cody Harvey; and a great-niece, Lindsy Grove (Zach).

Bob was a US Army veteran, serving in the Presidential Honor Guard Band from 1970 till 1972. He worked for the City of Altoona on the Planning Board.

He loved music and enjoyed photography.

There will be no public services. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Cemetery.
