Robert Thompson Obituary

Robert Scott Thompson, age 64, of Cresson, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning, March 28, 2020, at UPMC Altoona. He was born at Beals Air Force Base, California, the son of the late Robert J. and Barbara Jean (Amerine) Thompson. He married Dorothy S. "Dottie" Hutchison on June 10, 1990 in Vienna, VA.

Survived by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Thompson; three sisters: Nanette Ross of Virginia Beach, VA, Cheri Fleck of Altoona, and Julie Stiffler of Altoona; two stepsons: Stephen Stacey, Jr. of Mountville and Robert Stacey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

Bob was a 1973 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked as a lineman and retired in 2010 from Cox Communications, Inc., Springfield, VA. He loved music and adored his cats.
