Roberta J (Yingling) Howard

Roberta J. Howard, age 81, of Duncansville, died Sunday, December 21, 2025 at UPMC Altoona following a brief illness. She was born April 18, 1944 in Altoona, a daughter of the late David L. Yingling and Jane E. (Miller) Yingling-Duffield. She married Brinton W. Howard in 1976.

Surviving are her husband; two sons: James P. Harker and Jason Howard; two grandchildren: Jessica Singer and Justin Harker; 5 great-grandchildren: Layla, Jace, Sky, Jaxon, and Quinn; and 5 siblings: David Yingling, Sally Noel, Richard Yingling, Ann Singer, and Michael Yingling.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Byrne in  2024.

Roberta was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church, Newry.

She loved spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 9:30-11:30am on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville, immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at noon at St. Patrick Church, Newry. Father Allen P. Zeth will be Celebrant. Interment will take place at New St. Mary Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to either St. Patrick Church (704 Patrick Ln., Newry, PA 1665) and/or a charity of your choice.
