Roseann M (Delancey) Oakes

Roseann Margaret Oakes, age 89, of Puzzletown, Duncansville, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, July 28, 2023, at her home. She was born August 27, 1933 in Beavers Dam, Hollidaysburg, a daughter of the late Albert M. and Alice (Rhodes) Delancey.

She is survived by three children: Leonard F. Oakes (Kathleen) of Altoona, Wayne D. Oakes (Carolyn) of Duncansville, and Elaine Oakes (Oscar Dozier) of Duncansville; five grandchildren: Chad Oakes, Melissa Boslet (Josh), Jared Oakes (Alex), Danielle Oakes (John), and Mallary Oakes; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Herman Delancey; and a sister, Wanda Disano.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Roy, Allen, Frank, Glenn, and David Delancey, and a sister, Beverly Turnbull.

Roseann graduated in 1951 from Altoona High School.

She enjoyed crafts, traveling, shopping, riding her golf cart, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
