Sally Lee (Pfeffer) Stetter

Sally “Sal” Lee Stetter, age 71, of Altoona passed away Sunday evening, September 25, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born July 10, 1951 in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Joanne (Benzel) Pfeffer. 

Surviving is her significant other, Ricky Lafferty of Patton; three children: Bobbi (John) Denny of Altoona, Michael (Connie) Stetter of Blandburg, and Mary Jo (Johnny) Cox of Altoona. She was blessed to be a grandma to 5 grandchildren: Megan (Steven) Fleming, Bryce Denny, Ohen, Olivia, and Octavia Leigh Cox and three great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Bennett, and Lainey Lee Fleming. Also surviving are two sisters: Deborah (Dave) Smith of Lakemont and Gretchen (Bob) Blackie of Altoona, and many nieces and nephews, each of which she all adored. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Brock Denny.

Sally graduated from Altoona High School in 1969 and then became a homemaker and mother. Later, in 2000, she became a CNA and was employed at Garvey Manor, where she retired from in 2012. Sally loved being with her family and friends, going to the beach, playing bingo, attending gun raffles, camping, the casino, and collecting turtles.

To know Sally was to love her. She was always the life of the party and was truly one of a kind. She will be missed so much by all that knew and loved her, especially her beloved dog, Gizzy.

Anyone wanting to pay their respects is welcome to a Celebration of Life at New Life Community Church, 621 Bell Ave., Altoona at 10:00AM Saturday, October 1, 2022, immediately followed by services at 11:00AM. Casual attire suggested.
