Samantha C (Lupold) Benton

Samantha C. Benton, age 59, of Duncansville, died Wednesday evening, January 1, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 22, 1965 in Altoona, the daughter of the late Betty Jane ‘Jingles’ McClain. She married Ronald J. Benton, Jr. on August 23, 1981 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville.

Surviving is her husband, Ron; two sons: Michael Benton (Tai) and Bryan Benton (Amber); 6 grandchildren: Hailee, Emiley, Lauren, Aubrey, Ava, and Brantley; a great-granddaughter, Isla; and a brother, Anthony Lupold.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Lupold.

Sam was a 1982 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She had worked for Sheetz and Veeder-Root in secretarial. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida, and riding motorcycles with her husband.

Friends will be received on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1-3 and 5-7pm, immediately followed by a funeral service at 7pm, officiated by Father John Slovikovski, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Interment will take place at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
