Sandra E (Brown) McGee

Sandra E. McGee, age 87, of Roaring Spring, died Sunday, December 24, 2023 at HAIDA Guardian Healthcare, Hastings, following a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1936 in Huntingdon County, a daughter of the late Albert M. and Ruth E. (Ward) Brown. She married Riley C. McGee Jr., who preceded her in death Dec. 17, 2010.

Surviving are four sons: Thomas McGee (Lisa) of Punxsutawney, Donald McGee (Deb) of Hollidaysburg, Robert McGee (Diane) of Roaring Spring, and Ronald McGee (Bobbi) of Roaring Spring; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and five brothers: Ralph Brown of Dillsburg, Ronald Brown of Claysburg, Richard Brown of Punxsutawney, Edward Brown of Cresson, and James Brown of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by three siblings: Joanne Hite, Albert “Junie” Brown, and Dorothy Sharp.

Sandy was a 1954 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She enjoyed crocheting, making blankets and doing needle-point, and previously enjoyed camping and spending winters in Florida.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
