Sarahjane Harker Obituary
Sarahjane E. "Janie" Harker, age 88, of Newry, died Thursday evening, May 21, 2020, at Conemaugh-Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, following a brief illness. She was born November 22, 1931 in Altoona, daughter of the late Roy and Stella (Fisher) Delozier. She married Gary T. Harker in Duncansvillle on May 30, 1981.
Survived by her husband, Gary; a son, Earl (wife Bernie) Eger; 3 grandsons: Chad, Wayne and David Eger; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Earl Eger, Jr.; a great-granddaughter Marissa Eger; and 7 brothers: George, Raymond, Roy, Ted, Bob, Earl and Fred Delozier.
Janie was a head-cook for J.C. Penny’s Restaurant for 25 years. She attended Puzzletown Road Bible Church. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
All services will be held privately by the family.
Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Cemetery, Altoona
