Sharon N (Mowery) Goodman

Sharon Nova Goodman, age 71, of Altoona, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, early Sunday morning, November 24, 2024. She was born January 24, 1953 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Elvin LeRoy and Shirley Lou (Bookhamer) Mowery.

Surviving are two sons: Ronnie Stahl and David C. Goodman (wife Stephanie); a grandson, Wyatt Tanner; a brother, John Mowery (wife Dara); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Ronnie Stahl and David F. Goodman; a grandson, Bryant Stahl; a brother, James A. Mowery, Sr.; and an infant sister, Karen L. Mowery.

Sharon attended Altoona High School and South Hills Business School. She previously worked for Little John's Catering, American Legion Post #516 Hollidaysburg, O'Neil's in Holldaysburg, and Altoona Cab.

She was a member of the Allegheny Club, the VFW Auxiliary, and was a Sister of the American Legion. She enjoyed going to the beach with family, cooking, eating at Red Lobster, listening to music, and playing the lottery.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 4 until the 6pm memorial service at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Pastor Allyce Logue will officiate. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
