Sherry V (Decker) Zimmerman

Sherry V. “Sue” Zimmerman, age 85, of Altoona, went to be with her Lord on December 24, 2025, Christmas Eve, at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born January 15, 1940 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Elmer M. and Idella M. (Foust) Decker. She married William L. Zimmerman on May 3, 1963.

Survived by her husband; four children: Kirk Zimmerman, Paige Zimmerman, and Brent Zimmerman (Amy) and Kristy Jo Johnson (Josh); 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Middleton and Genevieve McIntyre.

Sue was a 1957 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a member of Trans4mation Church, Altoona.

She enjoyed playing the piano and loved spending time with her family. Family was everything to her.

Sue had a great devotion to her Lord and enjoyed reading the Bible.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3pm on Saturday, January 3, 2025 at Trans4mation Church, 1001 S. First St., Altoona. Private interment will take place at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
