Shirley Ann Romani, age 79, of Hollidaysburg, died peacefully Saturday evening. August 14, 2021, at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, with her family by her side. She was born August 12, 1942 at home in Puzzletown, a daughter of the late Leo F. and Ruth N. (Schilling) Lanzendorfer. She was the loving wife of Lawrence J. Romani, whom she married on July 3, 1966 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Jessica A. Zearfaus (Mark); 6 grandchildren: Macy, Addison, Bailey, Connor, Carson, and Gianna; three siblings: John Lanzendorfer (Linda), Arlene Lanzendorfer (Lynn Moyer), and Bernard Lanzendorfer (Marilyn); several nephews and nieces, including a special niece, Denise Mielnik, and a special nephew, Van Lanzendorfer; and a close friend, Jendy Forshey.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Jonna Romani-Bryan, in 2008; a sister, Mary Lanzendorfer; two brothers: Leo and Glen; a nephew, Bobby Watson; and two nieces: Tracy Lanzendorfer and Natasha Lanzendorfer.
Shirley was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Red Hat Ladies (Scarlet Sweeties), and the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, where she served on the Gala Committee.
Shirley enjoyed cooking. She lived her life for her children and grandchildren. Her love was felt by everyone she met and her kindness never ended.
Friends will be received on Thursday, August 19, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and on Friday, August 20 from 10am until the 11am funeral service, officiated by Monsignor Robert Saly, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Committal will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
