Terry L Matley

Terry L. Matley, age 65, of Duncansville, died Tuesday morning, April 17, 2017 at home, following an extended illness. Born May 30, 1952 in Altoona, he was a son of the late Harold C. and Helen Jean (Siegfried) Matley. He married the former Deborah A. Lamborn on May 27, 1978 in Tyrone.

Survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Deborah; two wonderful children: Melissa (husband Chris) Ritchey of Duncansville and Tim (wife Lynette) Matley of Altoona; 6 grandchildren, whom he loved very much: Jenna, Jacob, Cory, Camdin, Dylan and Arabella; a great-grandson, Easton; and a sister, Christine Dillman of Sinking Valley.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Harry and Gary.

Terry attended Tyrone High School. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Air Force from 1971 to 1973. He retired from Norfolk Southern in July of 2016 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and going for walks.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or services.
