Thomas L. Edmiston, age 79, of Hollidaysburg, died unexpectedly on Saturday evening, March 20, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. He was born January 8, 1942 at home, in Duncansville, a son of the late David E. and Irene R. (Ott) Edmiston. He married the former Patricia A. Stell on June 20, 1967 in Duncansville.
He is survived by his wife; four children: Ronald D. Edmiston, Shane Edmiston, John L. Conrad and Joanna (Conrad) Duman (husband Allan); 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister Joyce (Edmiston) Kerns.
He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Conrad; a granddaughter, Shannyn Roach; and siblings: Pete, Elaine, and infant Janet.
Tom was a US Army veteran. He retired from Warnaco, where he worked as a machine operator. He then worked for Altoona School District as a custodian.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football, going to Curve games, and watching Westerns on TV.
Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville, where a vigil service will be held, officiated by Deacon Allan Duman. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
