Tina McCoy Obituary

Tina M. McCoy, age 61, of Hollidaysburg, died Monday, September 18, 2023 at UPMC Altoona following a brief illness. She was born September 9, 1962 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Walter R. Barnes and Doris Jean (Piper) Peterson. She married Wayne W. McCoy, who preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lucas McCoy in 2001.

She is survived by three siblings: Walter Barnes Jr of Hollidaysburg, Dale Barnes (Marcella) of Newry, and Tracy Wyatt (Don) of Hollidaysburg; two nieces: Erin Barnes and Rachel Wyatt; and a nephew, Ryan Peterson.

Tina was a 1980 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She worked at Blair County Oil for many years, then worked for FedEx.

She enjoyed camping, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. She played guitar when she was younger.

All services will be private. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery, Newry.
