Waltraud “Trudy” Seitz Ott, age 75, of Altoona, formerly of Gainesville, GA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at home. She was born February 2, 1944 in Welun, Poland, a daughter of the late Christian and Maria (Brunhagel) Seitz. She married A. James Ott on June 7, 1996 in Riggles Gap, at their home.
Survived by her husband, A. James Ott; a daughter Erika Childress (husband Trey) of King, NC; four step-children: Darlene Ott-Hale (husband Lance) of Hollidaysburg, Linda Adler of Harrisburg, James E. Ott (wife Leslie) of Duncansville and Carol Rouzer (husband Brett) of VA; two siblings: Gertrude Meade of Cincinnati, OH and Ephrata Grump of Munich, Germany; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 9 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son John Schmidt IV in 2014.
Trudy retired from Bellwood-Antis School District where she worked as a food service director.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania Sheriff's Association.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or services.
