William J Cole

William J. “Hoot” Cole, age 66, of Duncansville, died Saturday, August 12, 2023 at home following a brief battle with cancer. He was born January 27, 1957 in Altoona, son of the late Robert W. and Olive M. (Teeters) Cole. He married Amy E. Detrick on Dec. 1, 1979 at West Loop Missionary Church, Hollidaysburg.

He is survived by his wife, Amy; a son, Billy Cole (Sheena) of Duncansville; a brother, Timothy Cole of Sana Rosa, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by six siblings: Julie Simmons, Patricia Cole, James Cole, Sandra Byron, Michael Cole, and Robert Cole.

Bill was a 1976 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired as a truck driver.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, Steelers football, and watching Little League baseball.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
